Comments about SiriusXM SXABB2 Portable Speaker Dock:
This little box delivers the best in you Satellite Radio! If you wanted to play your radio in the house this little box for you! Compatible with these radios:
XpressEZ Starmate 8
Although it is not on the list, I tried a XM Roady XT without the adapters in the box and it worked fine, sure it would work with the first version of the XM Roady as well! I have noticed that the Satellite Radio antennas are the same and work on the same principle! Just the XM plug has a bit of plastic in the end that makes the connection not to go into Sirius Radios, just cut off the excess plastic and you can use the XM antennas on Sirius or vice versa! These radio accessories are proprietary and is their way to make you get the right accessory for the right radio, hence spending more money; for the most part there are ways around just about anything! I am using a Delphi XM Boom box antenna on this box right now, works fine after the strip of the plastic on the jack, it has the antenna that came with it but you have to be facing south and near a window for it to get a signal, so I got out the XM one, ran it to the radio in the house that is sitting North right now, works great! Did not want to unwind the wire out of the new box to run it, I like keeping it portable for outside use for on the run! The sound is excellent! Seen reviews where some said it was lacking Bass, it sounds great for the applications for use, love the electronic volume placement on the top, move the volume by touch sensor! Has built in AUX jack to play just about anything through it like an iPod, iPhone or MP3 player! Have not tried that yet but nice! Lightweight and stylish! Does what you want it to do, get the most out of your Sirius XM subscription! Another cool thing is you get another brand new REMOTE with this!
