I purchased unit based on sound quality & price.. Blew away the Beats pill on both fronts.. Battery life has been poor for my use, which is usually mid to loud (2-3 hours max) full blast 90 minutes.. overall a very good product form JBL..

1st Shout out to Will.R at the local Radio Shack. He gave me an in-store demonstration of this JBL product. Out of the box using my I-phone 5 in 2 minutes at the most we had music streaming out of the JBL flip. So this is very easy to set up. The sound of this little speaker is very good. It has a very good overall range. Does it have BOOMING bass.... no but for its size I think it holds its own in this department. I am pretty picky when it comes to quality of sound. The only draw back would be how far you can move your listening device(phone/i pod etc...) away from the speaker before it cuts outs. I took my phone with me into the next room and the connection was interrupted. To me thats being ticky tacky though! Would i recommend this to a friend most definitely. **** I am very happy with this purchase.

This unit has volume and fidelity. The amp circuit didn't clip at full blast. Big plus for me. Let it be known this device charges on 12V not 5V(usb)like most of the others meaning more EMF juice. Nice design although other players in this market have features attractive to the gadget crowd - i.e., voice response, tones and controls, etc.

Bottom line, I'm happy with this make/model - and it was sale priced!

This speaker is very clean sounding and the volume can be turned up extremely loud and clear. It can be charged and used wireless with Bluetooth or it can be used plugged in. It looks great and it is portable: it comes with a nice case as well. If you have owned JBL products before, you know what you're getting. Definitely a good investment that will last for years. Beats who?

The JBL7 Flip kicks butt on the JamBox - at half the price. No comparison in sound quality and volume.

The portable and sound is so cool and the price is so right. I am going to buy a few more for c'mas gift!! ANd perfect for my car, does not have bluetooth and now I am handsfree!!!
