I use my phone to make calls, email, messages. I liked the price which was very reasonable for all the features included. However, on the 29th day after I purchased the phone, it began to freeze up and then would not turn off. I took the battery out and put it back in and then nothing. I then bought a Samsung Galaxy Rush and so far, so good.

Locked up on very first day. Scrambled and deleted music files. Fails to receive and send Facebook messages and text messages. Also, fails to hang up.

Not water resistant. Flimsy and falls apart. This phone is an embarrassment for Kyocera. The Radio Shack warranty is also worthless.... Need I say more?

The Kyocera Hydro is identical to the Kyocera Rise (on Sprint and Virgin Mobile) as far as Operating System, but the Hydro is waterproof and has no slide-out keyboard, making it lightweight. It runs Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) but doesn't run it very smoothly as its 1GHz processor is slow. Screen is not of high resolution and it's noticeable. Battery charging port is oddly and awkwardly placed at the top of the phone, and the battery itself is quite poor, even when wifi off and applications stopped. The Hydro runs off of Sprint's network, which means it will be good in metro cities but very spotty everywhere else.

I bought this for my husband back in november,2012 He works for a rock salt company and is always breaking phones. He has dropped this phone I have the kids have thrown it. The rain has gotten it more than once. He uses the gps on a weekly basis and its great. He is on his phone day to night when we are apart. I cant complain about it at all. He plugs it in at night and goes all day with it . Now that I am searching for a new phone again. My at&t fusion ( the third one I bought went ) has made its last call. I am honestly looking at buying another. The price is amazing and our service is unbeatable ! Buy it you wont regret it. Our 16 year old loves to add games to this and plays all our music. We did invest in a otter box ! Now i cant get him to give it up ! ugh my comp geek! LOL

Constant dropped calls and weak signal. Battery freezes up screen. I had bought 2.... the 1st one I was told it is known for battery issues and there is a new version that came out after January, I purchased that one too, same problems. Also my sister has the same phone in NY and also has the same problems. It is hard for us to have a convo and the phone only picks up 1-weak bar of a signal, while others in the same room have full strength on different phones.Very Frustrating!!!!!

Ive had this phone for 3 months now. Its been easy to use. And I havent had a problem with it yet. Ive dropped it in coffee,snow, and water and it still works like the day I bought it. I dont see why there are bad reveiws for it.Im surprized they havent made a hydro 2 yet.

I have had this phone for about 5 months now. I was pleased with it at first, until I started installing apps on it and it began to run very slow. Most apps malfunction on the interface and it is very frustrating to say the least. Not only that, I woke up this morning to find that the button that turns my phone on/off and my screen on/off doesn't work anymore. So now that I took my battery out to see if I could fix the problem, I am unable to turn it back on! This phone is worthless... save yourself the anger and stay away from this junk.

The most annoying thing about this phone is that it randomly muted about 50% of my calls. But when I checked the mute button it was off.

Worst phone. i bought my first one aug 2012. within 60 days it went bad because of a default problem. received another and now there is another problem with the power button not working. going to take back and see if i can get a totally different brand. do not get this phone. customer support is not good either.

Very cheaply made phone. ive only had it for 2 months. speaker phone feature stopped working. battery life is very short. you have to click on things several times to get results. They spent so much time making the phone waterproof that they neglected the inter workings of the phone. Getting rid of this phone asap!
