Comments about Samsung® S390 No-Contract GSM Phone for NET10™: Initially, I adored the phone. For the price, I was able to use Wifi or 3G to search for the nearest store locations or check for bus arrivals. I wish it had a FM radio like my previous phone, but the mp3 player is loud enough. Even though the camera isn't as sharp, the settings for size, brightness or even frames are vast! The navigation is similar to a Blackberry where the center square button is like a rolling mouse. Even though there are many great qualities, the keypad lock was terrible. I usually put my phone in my backpack/purse where the phone is easily squished by items. The items in my bag unlock the keypad and dials random numbers and even emergency a few times. I am afraid that my phone will constantly dial numbers, so I need to frequently check my cellphone. Because of this unreliable keypad feature, I am searching for another phone.

Comments about Samsung® S390 No-Contract GSM Phone for NET10™: The phone does everthing it says it will. I bought this phone for the wifi. I can even hook up to my home computer. get to know your phone's wifi and learn how to save the wifi connections. NATURALLY a wifi connection with security will not let you in!!! The phone uses t-mbile rather than verizon or at&t, Which is a welcome surprize. Very inpressed with my normally low signal area, I don't have full bars!! but service is equal to at@t and verizon and sprint. Had them all! NEVER lost a call and clear connection. I think it is due to the wifi enabled gives me 3g that others will not give in my area. This phone and t=mobile are great together

Cons Best Uses Comments about Samsung® S390 No-Contract GSM Phone for NET10™: WiFi capable means Net10 has put firmware in the phone that drops you off WiFi after couple minutes, then will not let you reconnect. Also, while on WiFi you can watch YouTube videos, but after it kicks you off, phone claims - Video Not Supported! Phone does NOT support ANY video formats from CNN, MSNBC, etc.My next phone will be an unlocked MaxWest or Palm Pixi Plus, which has REAL WIFI!

Comments about Samsung® S390 No-Contract GSM Phone for NET10™: Overall this is a decent phone, and at the time of this writing it's the most advanced "non smart phone" they have on Net10 or Tracfone. Note however, because this phone has 3G on it, they charge per DATA, not time, when you send picture messages now. The phone is by default set to resize photos you take to "600k" sizes - about 1000x800 pixels. When you send them, it will take approximately NINE minutes PER MESSAGE off of your total - repeat - per message. You have to search deep within the applications menu to find the setting to lower this to 300k (for a 5 minute charge per photo) to 100k for a small image and 3.5 minute charge per photo sent. Net10 customer service on three attempts did not have a clue about this - they said the phone was defective (!). So be aware of this... if you send tons of picture messages, this may not be the phone for you unless you get the unlimited data plan. Likewise, when on 3G and not Wifi, if you browse the web it can rack up $$$ in time per data browsed... NOT time browsed. I recommend this phone only to those who are aware of this and can deal with it.
