I had Verizon and a iPhone5. I was paying 125$/mo. Virgin Mobile in NYC is amazing. Its just as fast and complete coverage as Verizon !!! I actually get better coverage at Grand Central than when i had Verizon. Of course the iPhone4S is amazing but Virgin is amazing and I love the Price !!!! Radio Shack gave me $50 off when i bought in store.

Ok, yes I agree the upfront cost is a little hard to swallow. That said, do the math. Depending on your monthly plan, mine being the VirgMob unlimited everything, the phone will pay for itself and you will be SAVING money after the 8th month!!! All those locked into a 2 year contract do get the phone cheaper up front, but come on people, over the remaining 16 months, they will be paying around $1200.00 more!!! WHOS THE SMART ONE NOW?

If you can afford and stomach the high upfront cost in advance and still be using it after 2 or more years and not be like one of those IDrones regardless of trade in value once a new one is announced that trades in their current Iphone in before every single time a new one comes out towards the newest one, then this is a very great deal the longer you have the phone whether you do the $5 autopay discount from 35 to 30 a month or not or just top up every other month, its a great deal. But be forewarned, even though you can apply for Apple Care, Virgin Mobile doesn't offer insurance on it since its very expensive against loss or theft, so if it happens, you have to buy a new one all over again, so you might want to invest in a case and find alternate insurance for it and TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF THE PHONE. Be good to the phone and it should be good to you. The only problems I have ever had and should ever see myself ever having if my IPod doesn't sync with Itunes anymore due to age and wear and tear or isn't compatible no more or supported by Apple or the battery doesn't hold a charge no more. I give it a 9/10 and the only other faults would be no Adobe Flash Support, no way to swap out battery if it dies you have run to a plug to charge it or USB on computer, no bigger screen and Siri is ok. I don't need it, but if its free, I'll take it then.

I feel there should be a new customer discount like all the major phone carriers have. And not a contract but promotional periods like the other companies have. It would this much more enticing. for example New activiation should be 200$ like it is nearly everywhere else.

The bundle is the cheapest, with unlimited data and messages..

Great phone with Siri.

Yet the phone price is a little high. Will buy one more if price is around $500.

If you can afford the upfront cost of the phone, then this is a great deal. I would spend over $1000 every year with the two year contact. Now I am only looking to spend no more than $360
