Comments about HTC EVO V 4G No-Contract Phone for Virgin Mobile: I would suggest getting something different. I've usually had good experiences with Virgin Mobile, but this phone and the last few have been nightmares. It is hard to know if it is Vmobile, the phone, or both sometimes. I think Vmobile oversells, oversubscribes the volume they can handle, and then under delivers. If you call tech support, someone will answer the phone, but should I really have to call tech support all the time? I don't need to call tech support for my can opener. Can't they simply sell something that works, or not sell it? I'd rather they not sell something that is not going to be dependable than sell me something that I will dependent on that will later fail repeatedly and without warning. I've been avoiding spending the money for an iphone, and recent reviews of the iphone state that the iphone is great, but they too are having problems with Virgin mobile. It is like a bad dating relationship, you think about leaving, but then it gets better, however, when it's bad, it's really bad. It would be easier to make a decision if it were always one or the either. The fact that I am writing a review like this is another testament to this phone's waste of my time, but I just want to warn others. I've had 3 HTC phones, and I think this is my last. I don't know what my phone solution is, but I'm confident it is not the HTC Evo 4g. Sometimes 3g doesn't work, sometimes 4g doesn't work, one works while the other doesn't. Sometimes text messages don't go through. Sometimes they go through, but the system tells you they didn't go through. Erratic behavior by this phone. Sadly, people will keep buying this phone. Have fun...

Comments about HTC EVO V 4G No-Contract Phone for Virgin Mobile: I got last month and I can't let go of it! I wish I could've gotten the evo sooner! Even tough the battery life isn't long, an extra battery or portable battery charger will do. :D

Comments about HTC EVO V 4G No-Contract Phone for Virgin Mobile: I purchased this Virgin Mobile phone on-line through Radio Shack as a Christmas gift for my wife. She has had Virgin Mobile for several years. It is now the end of March and the phone is being replaced, with a different brand and different carrier. The phone has been a problem from the time when we attempted to switch her old Virgin Mobile to this one. We spent, between the two of us, over 5 hours on the phone with several individuals that spoke some English. We never did get it set up through their "help" desk. As I'm reasonably handy I eventually figured it out on my on and got it up and operating. At that point my fingers are "crossed" and I'm hoping for no more issues. No such luck! It is now the middle of March and the only thing that works is the text function. We have not been able to get any help from Radio Shack or Virgin Mobile. It would seem that neither wants to take responsibility for it. Suffice it to say no more HTC phone, Virgin Mobile and to a lesser extent Radio Shack.

Comments about HTC EVO V 4G No-Contract Phone for Virgin Mobile: The phone is great. There are a few cons as mentioned above but nothing too serious. Battery will last 9 hours with texting, dice, ruzzle, email and some internet use. The most annoying thing about the phone are the soft keys on the bottom, they are easily pressed when handeling the phone, took some time to get used to not pressing them when putting down the phone. Virgin Mobile service could be better, data speeds are slow (no it's not the phone, works great on WiFi) and I am in a great coverage area. The price is what makes Virgin great. The phone price was great at Radio Shack. I've had this phone for 3 weeks no problems with calls, texting, or connection issues.
