A year later from my last review: I dropped this phone into a pot of boiling water with olive oil in it. I was making pasta. After I got the phone out of the boiling oily water I removed the battery .I thought it was toasted since the screen was going crazy until I removed the battery. Since they were on sale at Radio Shack for $10.00 I went & bought another one. About 3 days later, I was curious & replaced the battery into the old phone because it appeared dried out. It works fine. Pictures, camera, everything. Go figure. What A tough cell phone. What a bargain !

I got a smartphone because I hasd time to surf the web on the phone. Since that changed a basic phone is all I need.
T.he gusto 2 is great for talking--i can here better on it than on a smartphone. I prefer having a keyboard instead of a touchscreen.
I use the gusto 2 for talking and text messaging. Once in a while I check somoething on mobile web but not often.
What I would like to see would be a 3.5 earphone jack, wi-fi capable and able to use an sd memory chip.

Ad shows as a no contract phone which is correct but dosn't say anything about pay as you go. I already have a phone and wanted get a new one without having to start a new contract.

My first ever pre pay cellular. I only need a phone to make PHONE CALLS . Imagine that concept: a phone to make phone calls ! Radioshack was the best. Very knowledgeable and extremely helpfull. I know this only cost me [$] on sale, but times are tough & you need to watch your spending. And YES they can port your old cell number to this phone even if you decide to switch it later after having used the number they supplied with the phone when it was activated. I love a bargain.

This phone is perfect for me. I'm tired of smartphones and going around tapping on a square piece of glass. Most of todays phones work well as a pocket compute but have poor call quality.
This phone functions perfectly as a phone and has exceptional call quality. It is durable, comfortable to work with and easy to use. I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone looking for a high quality basic phone.
