As an entry-level prepaid Smartphone, the Samsung Illusion does the job well. Running on 2.3.5 Gingerbread and sporting a 1GHz processor, the Illusion does most tasks pretty well and fast. It lacks a front-facing camera. Battery life is fair, but can be greatly improved by turning off mobile data, WiFi and GPS when out and about (you can still make calls and text with mobile data off)... I did so and the phone lasted all day and still didn't dip below 70% battery remaining as I only tend to use apps and stuff at home. The Illusion is lightweight and the Verizon network makes this phone a winner.

Got the phone and not even a month later I started having problems with the battery. It wont charge unless it wants to. I hate it! So dissapointed and I will never get a samsung phone again!

This is my first smart phone, and I love it! A couple of my relatives have iPhones, and the Samsung Illusion (or any Samsung smart phone it seems) has better features, is much easier to use, has a better battery life, is more durable, and more affordable. I always trust Samsung.

Its a very nice phone....the web access is great. but the battery life is really bad!!!! Phone gets real hot when you are using it while its on the charger, Overall the phone is great but the whole battery is all messed up!!!

Love the phone other than the bad battery life (you have to charge it every night). Other than that the keypad for texting is alittle awkward but not terrible. Everything else is great. Overall very good phone so far (I have had it for 3 weeks).

within 4 to 5 hours battery is dead
will not connect to internet and it seems even verizon cannot make it work
alarm is too soft sound and you change alarm to a louder alarm, and it still goes back to original alarm.
