Comments about RadioShack® Graphite-Filled Conductive Wire Glue:

I had to reconnected a wire inside of my subwoofer at my Studio spot. These are professional monitors used for mixing and recording musicians and artists. I didnt want to use a soldering gun because it was a really tight space and didnt want to burn the speaker. I let it sit for couple hours, substance has hardened up a lot, still a little soft, but I wanted to see if it worked. Just banged some tunes through it, absolutely zero difference in speaker from before. I would recommend this to anyone. I think the people saying its not conductive must be using it wrong, or bashing. The materials its made of ARE conductive, so, unless you somehow bought a tube full of stuff not listed on label, you are doing something wrong.

This product is not made to draw a large amp current!! I had a broken solder joint on a glass solar panel I tried everything to fix ,glass panel wouldn't take the heat to solder. Used it let it set for a few hours worked like new after use . Six buck fix

The product I bought was not conductive. Tried to shake it. Did not improve. Went back to the store to get my money back. They refused.
I liked the "old" RadioShack better. Customer service was excellent.

This stuff is garbage. Do yourself a favor and pick up a cheap soldering iron and some practice wire, and learn. Practice for an hour if you have to. This stuff is garbage and the resistance is so high it will blow fuses left and right. Stay away.

I tried to repair damaged membrane contacts and printed circuit board under digital piano keys with this glue. It applied easily like paste but when it dried up overnight, the resistance was too high to make a good electrical contact, worse than pencil lead which is what this feels like after it's dried. This might be useful in simple non-critical circuits but I would not recommend this on a high current sensitive applications.

I used the product to reattach a switch in a car remote key fob. Found that it had come undone. I need to learn to solder, but this wasn't the application to learn on anyway, as the leads were tiny. Followed someone else's suggestion and squeezed to mix it thoroughly. Easy to apply with a paperclip, sticks, and conducts electricity. The switch works again. Time will tell how it holds up.

Gave this product multiple tries. Cleaned wire and contact points. It failed to conduct any electricity at all. Power was present at source and would conduct through a jumper but not through this glue.

I used this instead of soldering to repair a soldered connection for a lighted model railroad car. The product is thin so don't overapply or else there could be dripping where you don't want it. I don't think there is an instant bond like superglue so you should tape down the wire you are connecting just before the connection point so the exposed end of the wire is touching the connection point, and then place a drop of the glue on top at the connection point. Allow 24-36 hours for drying to be safe. It worked great for me.

This product dries as a solid glue and conducts electricity. Having read the other reviews, I kneeded the glue in a warm room before applying and it was not too runny. I gave it 24 hours to dry and it worked well. I was repairing a small broken wire inside the fuel gauge of a 1970 MGB. I'm glad I found this product. New gauges are unavailable for this year. I give it 4 stars because nothing is perfect.

I read the 2 previous reviews and they said it was watery/runny. That wouldn't work for me but the iPod techs I talked to wanted to much money to replace the part so I said what the heck. Before I cracked the seal I squeezed the tube to mix the contents. Then I tried it on 2 sample wires and it didn't drip at all. I then applied to the iPod wires with a drop in 2 places. It held and the iPod speaker works.
The glue saved me at least $50 - 100.
ps. If the glue was runny I was going to put some in a cap and let it set a few minutes and then apply to the wires.
