I purchased this product because my Toshiba laptop was having issues and I was needing to send it in to the Toshiba repair depot a third time for repair.

I used this device to do a complete system backup so that I could restore my computer to it's glory when it came back.

I received my laptop back yesterday and when I attempted to do a system restore received a message that my new hard drive does not have enough space to accommodate my restore - although it is the same size as the one that was removed.

When I called for support, they attempted to work with my files, but all in all I have a worthless backup and have lost all of my data using this product. Years of photos, financial and accounting files for my business, and tons of work product.

I did my due diligence - I bought a Toshiba product to back up a Toshiba product. When I called Toshiba customer service,they hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor because I could not get them to understand what I was saying. I was being pleasant but firm, and find it extremely unprofessional for them to hang up.

The computer and the backup drive are under warranty but I am told that if I want support, I must pay for it. I find that unacceptable and do not recommend Toshiba products for anyone. I will never buy another Toshiba product, and hope that you don't either!

cable sucks i read reviews about it dropping connections all the time and it does. its a shame it does that.
