It seams like a solid product has a good balanced feel. I was about to put batteries in (it takes 2 AAA not labeled on the box)when i realized that there was no way to get the recordings off the recorder to a computer. Seems kind of important to me especially since it says digital voice recorder you would think there would be a way to get the recordings off. So i never did get to trying the rest of it.

When I went to the local store to purchase, the box did not contain the mic and earbud. When I showed the clerk their website saying it contained these items, he tried to sell me a mic for 32.99. He would not make good what is advertised. Don't buy unless you open box to make sure of it's contents. Will not be going back to Radio Shack

The only drawback to this recorder is that you might find out that you wish you had spent more money for something with more features. It is about the cheapest dictation recorder I could find on a short search. On a whim I took it to a night club with a band and it is fun to be able to record the evening's music, but you can only listen to it played back on one ear plug and the music is a bit tinny. It has many wonderful features, such as folders and indexes that make lectures and dictation great, but you can't save anything. Sound quality for dictation is excellent when played back on ear buds. I got it to take on bike trips for quick notes and the white color and small size seems about perfect. Getting a cord through the strap area is hard, but possible with thin tweezers.
