This solar charger is a great addition to my bag of gadgets when I travel. I never leave home without it. Not only is it great for remote areas out in the forest where there is obviously no power but you can take it with you when traveling. I've used mine on the airlines on long flights to keep my devices charging while I use them in flight. I've even held it up to the window in the plane and you can see the red light go on indicating the solio is charging. My last trip was to Catalina island where I would be on a boat and trekking around the island all day. It was great to have this with me there. I chose this charger because of its bigger surface area, figured it would get and give a better charge so having said that I wish they would design this particular open up panel charger with some accessories, like maybe a suction cup device for windows as well as a clip for you backpack. Although I've noticed that the charger needs to be directly face up at the sun to get a charge so backpack clip probably not a good idea. Also the charger works best if you can fully charge it in the wall with a power cord before taking it out on your adventures. Fortunately my old droid phone wall charger works perfect with the solio. Once fully charged mine works all day as long as I keep it in the sun. I've charged my iphone, iPod, and iPad all off of it in one day without it ever running out of power. It's the best charger! I love mine, just wish it came in black plastic as well as the white. White gets dirty.

I needed a charger for my phone that could charge it quickly...and the Bolt did just that! It gives me 1-2 charges on my iPhone and lets me recharge on the plane, and away from lines around plugs in the airport. With 2 modes(I just use blue for iPhone) it seems to charge quickly, and so far I have not used the solar, but plan to this summer.

I was very reluctant to purchase a solar charger as several friends have had bad experiences, but after using the Bolt, I'm really glad I gave this particular brand a try. The integrated USB port makes charging all of my devices really easy. I also like that it has a built in battery. It did take two days in fairly direct sunlight to fully charge, but that is what I expected since the sun is not as strong this time of year. The nice part is that I can also charge the Bolt through the USB wall charger that came with my iPhone. Living in Florida, I also wanted some sort of back-up power in case of emergencies. Luckily, I haven't had to use the Bolt for that just yet. Overall, it's really nicely designed and works as indicated on the box. Buying one for my Dad and brother as a Christmas gift this year!
