I always said I'd never use a GPS unit, but with the advent of growth and ever changing surroundings I decided to give one a shot, especially after seeing this one in use by tow truck drivers when I had my vehicle towed to my mechanics garage.

It works fantastic, has been exactly spot on in its directions. My only real complaint (CON) on the unit is you just can't enter a business name directly into the unit without first giving it a zip code or address first, and even then it doesn't always find the business name you're seeking, even though the business has been around longer than most GPS units!

I did encounter some areas where it told me the speed limit was LOWER than the actual posted speed limits in my region, as well as a some areas where it stated the speed limit was higher, when it was actually lower.

So you can't always take it's word on speed limits. So watch the posted speed limit signs to be sure you're doing the correct speed for the area. Sometimes these posted speeds were 5-10 mph higher or lower than what the GPS stated for the area/stretch of road.

Othwewise, the unit is well worth the investment, it will get you to your destination and usually right on time too.

It does come with it's own USB power adapter for your vehicle, the USB Cable that interfaces the GPS unit to your computer for the free lifetime map updates. You can also record your own voice with software available from the Garmin website to have the GPS talk in your voice or whomever you can get to record their voice and save to the unit. It would have been even nicer if you could import voice files into the software, then you could really make your own specialty voices for your GPS or your friends to share. As it is, I don't beleive there is any way to upload/download or share the voice files you create.

Unit also has FREE Lifetime Map upgrades as long as you own the unit.

I am actually going to purchase a second unit for my wifes car. She needs one as she can get lost just backing out of the driveway!
