Comments about magicJack PLUS™ VoIP Phone Adapter: Thought about this forever! Tired of paying .05 cents per long distance call for our office. For unlimited calls thru our carrier, it was another $21 + weird taxes a month totaling abt $30. Radio shack explained how it worked somewhat & they had a good refund policy if I wasn't happy. When I encountered problems, I e-mail tech support at Magicjack; replies within 2 hrs. or less; wonderful & very helpful. Do not like that I have to dial a 1 +area code for even local calls (thus a 4 rating); but it is an upside to paying all those other carrier's fees for L.D. I am 70y/o female, had to re-read the enclosed set-up materials a few times...and connect & reconnect to get our scanners, faxes, and computer, plus ans. machine to work properly..but I did it! Yay! Suggest not connecting to USB port on computer as it didn't work nearly as well as with ethernet connection. Even shows the number of in-coming call on our fax machine. Surprised at that. We have Cox cable (Nv.) and with our wireless router it worked right away for calling out (once I got it connected right). Other downside is no calls INCOMING UNTIL YOUR NUMBER IS TRANSFERRED off prior carrier (mine took a week). Once transferred I learned it's $9.99 a yr. to keep your just ported number (from old carrier). So I recommend you get a completely new number to avoid such on-going fees. Unless you have loads of business cards out there...like we do! Plus additional fees exist once you are logged in to register..u know they always want more money! So we pre-paid another $70 (or abt that) to get registered, port number, and keep going for 5yrs.) Now just $9.99 annual fee left to deal with. All in all, it will save a lot of money over time! Worth the purchase...esp. with great customer service at store & on-line w/Magicjack.

Comments about magicJack PLUS™ VoIP Phone Adapter: Purchased Magic Jack Plus for economical solution to high home phone bills from Connecticut cable company. While it will take 4 months to "pay off" cost of equipment (on sale) and buying an additional 5 years of service, $2.50 for monthly phone service for 6 years (includes porting old number) with no toll/long distance charges is unheard of!

Comments about magicJack PLUS™ VoIP Phone Adapter: This product saves us tons of money and has crystal clear sound. Easy to install, just plug it into your router and hookup your phone line. I have had Magic jack for years and only had to reboot it once. There is only one small issue with this system, you cannot dial people that have conference lines for free. You have to put money on account to dial these numbers. That's the only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5. Had one office I could not call because of this issue and I just picked up my cell phone to make that call. I love how I can take the product with us when on vacation or business. People that don't like generally are less tech savvy individuals or have less than reliable internet or routers.
Comments about magicJack PLUS™ VoIP Phone Adapter: Customer service worthless. Tried to renew 6 times after first year and could not! Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about magicJack PLUS™ VoIP Phone Adapter: I just purchased a brand new magicjack plus to replace my old normal magicjack. I transfered my old MJ number to the new equipment and everything worked fine for 3 hours. After that it just told me to register again the MJ. I tried to do it but it jest asking again and again to register it. I contacted tech support (CHAT) every day for a week. Every time I received the same answer... "your account is under review, you will receive an email soon"

Comments about magicJack PLUS™ VoIP Phone Adapter: I always wanted to save money on home phone since I don't use much. Cell phones have taken over. After talking with a friend who has used magic jack-plus for a long time I was convinced. I'm happy I got it. Those of negative reviews please check your internet speed before you complain. It's a good buy. Good on international calls and above it all money saver.
