Works great, easy setup with iScan software. It does not come with an Apple(Mac) software version.

This scanner is very difficult to program! When you try to program it, the check marks disappear! The instruction book should be easier to understand! And it requires a computer, which I don't have access to. This was not fully explained when I bought it. I am very annoyed!!!

I like this scanner so far I wish the battery life was better or it could be calibration of the bar graph I have not had a set of AA go down yet
I don't know of any other radio that will do what it will I know there are a few things it will not do f you really need them buy the other radio
I think the low rating were done because the people that gave them are novices
Lots of stuff packed in the box

Not sure why some other people give only 1 star, Not perfect I admit, however this in not a toy. Very happy with this scanner just feel they should be less expensive, but it is the top of the line.

The fact that the Pro-18 is more expensive, and a stripped down version of the PSR-800 is very true. I'll give the radio 4 stars based on its own merits though. The radio is still a top digital scanner, and iSCAN is wonderful. If you can get one deeply discounted, or used at a good price, I highly recommend it.

As others pointed out, it's $50 more than the GRE PSR-800 version that has many more features and a better keypad. No support can be on the web page beyond the manual. What gives?!?

I returned it and got the Uniden HP-1 from Scanner Master, it has way more support and is much easier to use. All I had to do was put the zip code in and I was scanning my local stations right away.

Intial purchase missing program disc.I had to wait 1 week for replacement,when replacement came refused to load on to computer,no online site to download program,after 2 weeks of not being able to use needless to say it going back for a refund. I would not reccommend to any one

There is no reason in the world to buy this over the GRE PSR-800. Here is a list of features missing on the PRO-18!

Recording / playback -
200 scan lists (PRO-18 has 100 play lists)
Tri-color alert LED
Discriminator output
V-Scanner II
Scan Sets
Clock display while "off" (and connected to external power)
Auto power-on ("alarm clock")
"Extra" audio alert tones (PRO-18 has the 7 from PSR-500; PSR-800 has 8 more)
Power-on password.

R/S will need to deep discount the Pro-18 before anyone should consider buying over the PSR-800.

This is a stripped down version of the GRE PSR-800 which is actually $50 less. It's missing a whole bunch of features the PSR-800 has. Skip this one and get the GRE PSR-800 instead. Do the research and see for yourself.
