Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack® 19-Range Analog Multimeter: This meter is a good learning tool for kit building (do people still do that?)school projects, identifying live circuits, testing resistors and LED's etc.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about RadioShack® 19-Range Analog Multimeter: I have in my collection dozens of type of analog & digital multimeters, others are bulky & old style. I am a Radio Communications tech for more than 25 years working with two-way radios and microwaves.

Cons
Best Uses Comments about RadioShack® 19-Range Analog Multimeter: Using a high quality digital multimeter as a reference, I took a voltage reading off a rechargeable battery and got a reading of 1.4 volts. Repeating this test with the analog RadioShack meter yielded a reading of 2.5 volts with the range selection dial set to the 5 volt range. It can only measure up to 250mA, not the 10A most DMM can measure. The meter came with a defective (determined with continuity test) ceramic fuse installed and a spare. Continuity of the spare was OK, installed and meter functions "worked". Accuracy on this meter is horrible.
