Bought this cam to add to my security system. Was not impressed what so ever with quality of camera image both day and night. IR had good coverage, but did not matter due to poor image quality. If your wanting a good quality picture of anything, this is not your camera. Did return camera and get my money back. I am not hard to satisfy and expect certain quality for cost. Was not satisfied for the cost of this product.

Great camera for the price. I install and service bank security equipment and bought these for my own home. I am impressed. The camera shows my whole back yard at night.

I'm comparing to K-Guard cameras that came with my security system. They are good cameras, but their night vision is pretty limited. I needed an add-on camera for one that failed. This Lorex has a bigger circumference for a bullet camera and thus has more IR LED's. It pretty much lights up my front yard and adds extra illumination for the K-Guards. Although it is billed as a Hi-res camera, the resolution is really not much different than similar cameras in this price range. The color saturation is not as deep as the other cams. Hard plastic exterior, and the mounting bracket is nice and steady. Cables seem decent.
