Best Uses Comments about Gigaware® USB Mic/Headset Adapter: I bought this product before in April (2012)... and it worked fine, until it broke mid-October (2012)... I also bought a one year warranty, so I purchased a new one.. and once I recieved the new one IT DIDN'T WORK AT ALL!!!!!!!! every time I plug it into my USB port it says it can't be recognized and it's an "unknown" device..(mind you I bought the new one two day ago) .. All in all I'm very disappointed and I wouldn't recommend this product.

Tried every USB port, even though I've had no trouble with anything else, tried looking up drivers even though I didn't expect that to help considering the device itself doesn't even register being plugged in, and couldn't find help that way anyway. Altogether a complete disappointment.

After a while of uninstalling and replugging, the adapter finally installed the drivers properly and is recognized as "Gigaware USB Audio Adapter". been using it for a week and it works great. Although the mute button has a slow response when pressed i have no use for it. Pros

When I first plugged it all the way in - could hear nothing thru my earbuds. I very gently pulled the jack out the tiniest bit from the Gigaware adapter and it works perfectly. People I talk to over the internet say the sound/mic quality is excellent. Pros

Comments about Gigaware® USB Mic/Headset Adapter: There is not much to say. I have a Toshiba Qosmio laptop with a busted headphone jack and I bought this in the hopes of using my new headphones. When I plug it in...nothing. Not even an indicator from Windows that a device has been plugged in. The light in the device turns on to show that the mic is "on", but as I can't use it at all this won't do me any good. I'd love to try some new USB audio drivers, but I can not find any. My standard Realtek HD Audio Drivers are up-to-date as of yesterday. Displaying reviews 1-7 |
