Cliff note: Flawed design and will break. Good sounding earbud otherwise.

This product has a very flawed design. The tip of the plug is taller than usual and I knew this was going to be the cause of its death. The extra 0.5 inch tip makes a big difference. It is rubber that was not supported by the metal plug. This means it is bendable and will eventually break with normal use, exposing the wiring which will rip shortly after. These earbuds only lasted 3 months for me.

Besides the design flaw, it is a good earbud for the price. I would either buy the warrenty (not expensive at all) so Radioshack could replace it Or buy from another earbud company (some offer lifetime warranty for the same price)

Quick tip to Auvio and Radioshack - remove that extra 0.5 inch of rubber tip and it would make the product last longer.

I don't know what everyone is saying about the short life span. I have had my pair of auvios for a few (3ish or more) years before my left bud broke. I have shoved them in backpacks, wore them in rainy weather, and they have served me well. They are the most comfortable earbuds I have ever purchased especially compared to similar styles.

I bought this product just as cheap replacement headphones, I thought they would be temporary but i have had them for over a year and accidentally put them through the clothes washer and dryer TWICE, they still work, the sound quality is about the same as other expensive headphones, often times it isn't the headphones but the lack of tuning the equalizer on your device that's the problem. Will definitely by them again.

I am so sick of these poorly made earbuds, it doesn't matter how much you spend. I have owned about a Dozen pairs in the past few years ranging from $14-60 and they all broke within a few months so to me they all suck and this pair is no exception, I only had them 3 months and like all the rest they are broke (one ear stopped working) the pair that last me the longest were a [$] pair of V-Moda earbuds they lasted about 7months and were the best quality. So good luck people.

I bought these on the last minuite but i have seen them around for a while and decided to give them a try. They are extremely comfortable and have a really good amount of bass (for you bass heads out there). Sound isolation is pretty decent if you think about it when i only paid[$]for them ( the sale that is going on right now). Over all i have to say that its a good buy and good sound. So if your thinking about getting them don't think about it twice.

Being a motorcyclist, I needed a low profile pair of headphones that would not get pulled out of my ear when I put my helmet on. These fit perfectly for my need. For the price, audio quality is exceptionally good.

My only complaint is that they have broken a month after purchase. They have a tall plug which, in my pocket, means a lot of flexing at the base when I walk/sit. This caused them to break fairly quickly. I have owned several ear buds that cost me double the price or more and they definitely lasted longer. But for the price of these things, with a little more consideration to the build quality than I gave them, you could easily get several months, maybe years out of them.

If you are careful not to stress the plug and don't want to spend much on a pair of buds, these are a great deal.

My pair broke today and, yes, Ill be buying a new pair on my way to work tomorrow. Radio Shack does offer an extended warranty to exchange in-store. If the price is right, I might add that to my purchase and be set for life. After all...Radio Shack is next door to my work. =P
