Average but not what I was looking for

Comments about Antennacraft Amplified Omnidirectional HDTV Antenna:

This antenna has an average reception although I specifically purchased it to replace a "rabbit ear" antenna system which unfortunately works better to get a signal for a specific tv station I wanted. As a result, I will have to return these. Don't get me wrong....the Antennacrat unit is not a complete fail, but it just didn't do what I wanted it to do and a cheaper unit proved more reliable.

Comments about Antennacraft Amplified Omnidirectional HDTV Antenna:

Using this for local stations and news to round out my Vizio Co-Star (Netflix, HuluPlus and Crackle.) I tried 3 others and they brought in 7 at best (2 excluding duplicates and Spanish.) This one brings in 10 (ABC, CBS, Denver FOX,CW.) I am in a small town on the west slope of the Rockies, so the only thing it is not getting is PBS and NBC which are weak signals here. Others tried were Radio Shack $40 rabbit ears, $60 RCA flat, and GE $40 long panel. This unit was $10 off for $40. Now I just hope the other stations beef up their signals!

Comments about Antennacraft Amplified Omnidirectional HDTV Antenna:

Purchased this antenna just to see if it would get decent reception in my RV
yes it does OK with 35 miles away but it should do better.
Too expensive for this type of performance
Go with the rabbit ears and shove them out of sight
they will get you better performance
So if I lived in the city I would have no problems with reception.

Comments about Antennacraft Amplified Omnidirectional HDTV Antenna:

I found it too expensive to have cable. I had no reception whatsoever on both my LCD TV's. One of them a year later died out. The 2nd one is still going but picture gets pixalated a lot and some channels black out. have to constantly move antenna around and it is annoying. Now to replace the antenna that stopped working I bought an RCA Rabbit ears for $9.99 and it works just as good. Go figure $49.99 for this thing.
      Way to over priced.

Comments about Antennacraft Amplified Omnidirectional HDTV Antenna:

I can't really give it a good rating as it didn't work for me, only because the two channels that were supposedly on one of the mountain tops...wasn't. So I expect it works great as the many users have stated, so it's going to my son in Phoenix. My daughter uses an indoor antenna like this and it picks up 61 channels in the Phoenix area in HD.

Very glad I bought this antenna. It was $50 dollars. I saw some that were more expensive and some that are cheaper but I went with this one and was surprised by how THIN it is. Very happy that it works and I get some channels on my TV after getting rid of my expensive cable package I rarely used.

Comments about Antennacraft Amplified Omnidirectional HDTV Antenna:

If your broadcast signals (TV stations) are less than 10 miles from your home, this antenna is great. Otherwise, don't waste your money, and install an outdoor high power/signal antenna on your roof with a pre-amp signal booster.

Got this for my mom who lives on the 3rd floor (top) of her apartment building. Hooked it up with her new TV and set it on her window ledge and her picture is better than mine with cable! She can receive several channels with a sharp clear picture. This whole set up will pay for its self in a year. We live in a small town right outside Houston, TX. I highly recommend this antenna.

Comments about Antennacraft Amplified Omnidirectional HDTV Antenna:

I've tried other more expensive HD digital indoor antenna's and I've always come back to this one. I have one in each room. I'm buying another one because I sent one home with my niece. She couldn't believe I didn't pay for TV...she didn't even realize that was an option. The box says only 20 miles, but I live about equal distance from downtown Chicago and downtown Milwaukee and I get channels from both cities. My $80 Mohu doesn't get as many channels as this one. Take the time to try different spots around the room. I run a cable under an area rug to place it on the opposing wall. Invest in a better quality coax cable. It does makes a difference. If you want to record shows, purchase a DVR. Then you can even pause or rewind live TV, too. And, the best part...NO MONTHLY BILL!

                  No better than cheaper options

Comments about Antennacraft Amplified Omnidirectional HDTV Antenna:

This product doesn't really work any better than the much cheaper options that Radio Shack sells, and what's worse, this model needs to be plugged in. Save your money and get the $20 cheapo option that Radio Shack sells.
