Comments about RadioShack® Headset for Landline Phones:

I love this headset. I was originally concerned that the piece that rests on the side of the head would not be comfortable for long durations but I was wrong. Audio input and output is very good; folks on the 'other end' hear me clearly without any distraction.

Comments about RadioShack® Headset for Landline Phones:

If I could give this product NO stars or minus stars I would. Sorry I bought the second one, but I thought maybe the mike died, because I moved it, back and forth, depending on the ear I was using. The mike was useless after about 1-1/2 years, once or twice a week use. Now the mike died on this one, EVEN THOUGH I made a point to NEVER move the mike and used it ONLY for one ear. Again I have had it a little over a year. Won't be buying from Radio Shack again, although I have to drive quite a distance to find a store that carries this type of product!

Comments about RadioShack® Headset for Landline Phones:

I've bought and used several of this model over the years, bearing the VoiceStar name, on household and mobile phones (including in the car). Glad to see it's still at Radio Shack, now under the store's own name (even if it is $5-$10 overpriced). Well, I would be, if you actually had it in stock. The solid-boom mic is always in the right position (and swivels for use on either side), inbound and outboudn audio quality is good, and it seems to be pretty good at noise-cancelling. I use it instead of a handset, as standard procedure. (Slipping it on is just as quick as picking up a handset.) I need another one only because I'm fitting it to some studio headphones, and messed up my first attempt... a situation your average user will never encounter. (HINT: Don't encase the circuitry in hot epoxy!) Maybe the best testimony is that I do NOT want to sacrifice one of my spares in my next attempt.

Comments about RadioShack® Headset for Landline Phones:

I have used this headset for 5 years. I have a cordless phone that I plug it into from Panasonic, and have a stationary phone from AT&T that it plugs into as well. Great for when i'm having to work from home and take high volume of calls each day. The headpiece isn't too tight and easily adjustable and comfortable. For the price you can't beat it.

Comments about RadioShack® Headset for Landline Phones:

I have purchased the Plantronic headsets in the past 20 years and they each worked well and lasted over 3-7 years. I purchased a replacement headset about 5 weeks ago and was DISAPPOINTED to see that Radio Shack doesn't sell the headset under the Plantronics name. The first one lasted ONE WEEK, the 2nd one was non-functional out of the box. The 3rd one lasted 12 days. NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!
Every phone call had to start with:' "Can you hear me now?" and "If you can't hear me, just say so, but don't hang up! I just have to wiggle the cord until you can hear me!"

Just bought this at a retail store to replace a Voice Star headset I purchased at RadioShack 7 years ago. Plugged it in and the ear piece works, but the mic doesn't work what so ever.

Works very well with the Cisco 7961 phone. I had to get an adapter from some online outfit (Headset buddy I think) for $14. I tried the cheaper Radio Shack headset and that one didn't work.

This product is an excellent resource when you need to project a high level of enthusiasm in your calls (your voice sounds extremely different when you're sitting in your chair as when you're walking around) The headset is very helpful much when you need to make lots of conference calls in a row and your hands need to stay free to write or type on the computer.
