    Comments about Enercell® 2.4V/1700mAh CR-V3 Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery:

I have a pretty low line Kodak CX7530 camera (about 8 years old). I use it to document vehicle repairs and general photography. Not a great camera (cheap) but it works for me.

I was in the Caribbean and wanted to take some photos but the CRV-3 battery died and I couldn't find a replacement anywhere until I was recommended the local Radio Shack. I went in and found that the Enercell rechargeable battery and charger pack was available there.

It takes about 6 hours to charge but I put it on charge immediately in February and began using it -now for the first time, my camera is flashing "low-battery" at me in mid-September so I'm charging it again. In that 6 months+. it has been completely reliable and performed well. With ordinary batteries, the Kodak takes a few moments to "recover" when using the flash and it shows a warning light; with the Enercell rechargeable, the warning light just begins to flicker and then goes out and it's ready to go again.

I had been considering a rechargeable for a while and I'm glad I found this one.

          Comments about Enercell® 2.4V/1700mAh CR-V3 Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery:

Rushing off to vacation, the RS employee told me these batteries were cheaper than the brand I'd been buying. Knowing where I was going, he didn't bother to point out that they were rechargeables. Or that they were packed uncharged. When I got to Wiliamsburg—no power! Good thing I had a charged auxiliary camera in my purse. When I returned, I bought the recharger, which comes with a second battery. The recharger only charges them (according to my camera) by half, which is actually less than that, because the battery's only good for 5 shots before it dies. Never again! I was hoping to be green in my buying choices, but instead was cheated by rock-bottom poor quality. (And when I pointed all this out to the store manager, he just shrugged. Great customer service, RS.)
