My dad bourgt me this headset 7 years ago when I was 16 .. Have brougt it everywhere I go .. Have worked evey sigle day.. Only had a brief problem with the cord, since I'm playing with it when I'm bored ..
But other then that I have been perfectly fine with it and might be looking to buy a new since 7 years of use is starting to show..

We have quite a few headphones for Skype, Messenger, etc. This set has held up the best and always works. I believe it works with linux as well.

extent the headset and it is thin as paper and breaks, I don't have enough superglue for this peice of junk, buy else where

Am reading a lot of people having microphone issues and there is a fix for it. Has something to do with turning the automatic gain off in the recording section of the sound settings.

Did it way back when and never had a problem with it.

Search the model and gain and you'll find it. Had my set over 5 years and they still work awesome for my Skype line.

Like previous reviewer, worked perfectly for a while, then one day it didn't work at all. I suspect there's a design or construction flaw that Gigaware should look into (but I'd be surprised if they did).

I've had this headset for over a year. It worked fine and then all of a sudden TODAY, it stopped working. I don't recall exactly when I purchased it, other than it was over a year ago and less than two years. I took care care of it, and used it every single day and for it to suddenly stop working is rather annoying. I would not recommend this product nor would I buy it again.

The thing worked fine for the first 3 weeks i owned it... but then just days after the return policy was up... the Microphone ceased to function.

The product would not be was not recognized by windows xp and has no where to go for support of the product.

I tried to make it work but could not. When I touched the mic where it connected to the headset I got a lot of crackling noise. I carried it back to RadioShack and got my money back. Very cheap set and I would not recommend it to anyone.

I use this headset every day for conference calls & Skype calls. I listen to news & videos. Has good sound but after a few months the mute button failed. The rest of features still working.
