        I bought this product to communicate on trails when off-raoding. I didn't want to do a full install of a regular CB so I bought this handheld. I don't need much range since we are riding together, but it beats having to stop and get out to talk to each other. Reception was fine at these close ranges. Used the cig lighter adapter for power and was getting some electrical feedback from the truck, mainly when AC comperessor was running. Not sure if I adjust the squelch if that will help or not.
        Overall I am happy with this unit. Need to find out what the real usable range is.
