Pros

  • Easy To Set Up

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Attic/Roof Mount

Comments about Antennacraft AC9 VHF/UHF/FM HDTV Antenna:

I couldn't get my local channels with an indoor antenna no matter what I tried. I bought this set it up in an afternoon and it worked. It comes with a u-bolt mounting bracket and uhf transformer. I used an old mast (pole) and wiring that was left by one of the satellite companies.

    Say GOODBYE to $$$ Pay-For-TV

    By Andrea

    About Me Casual User

    Verified Buyer

    Pros

    • Attractive Design
    • Easy To Set Up
    • Strong Signal

    Cons

      Best Uses

      • Attic/Roof Mount

Comments about Antennacraft AC9 VHF/UHF/FM HDTV Antenna:

I live in Costa Mesa and get channels in San Diego to Los Angeles crystal-clear. I got about 50 channels but about half were Spanish / Vietnamese. BUT you can delete these channels via your TV setup.

High-Def is noticeable because it's pulled directly from the airwaves. I read that cable distorts the integrity of the HD because it gets softened while being run through the cable boxes, lines, etc.

You need something to mount this to your roof, chimney, or façade. You also need coax cable to go from your TV port to the antenna. Use the hole your cable provider drilled to get this coax antenna cable outside.

      Great little antenna

      By Jimmy

      from Benson NC

      Pros

      • Easily to convert
      • Needs re-enforcement

      Cons

        Best Uses

        • With a rotor

Comments about Antennacraft AC9 VHF/UHF/FM HDTV Antenna:

This can easily be converted to High Band VHF From the rear elements starting at the boom. measure the longest element outward to 17" cut the rest off. The 2nd longest elements measure out 7" cut it off. The longest width from end to end should be 35" the 2nd longest should be 30" when locking these into place use needlenose pliers to lock into place. I recommend a Winegard AP series pre-amp your strongest channels will still be strong enough to come in from the rear. Most areas use UHF frequencies to broadcast from. Rotor will ensure any channels you may not now see.

Cheap, easy to install, and EFFECTIVE

        By ibtrotter

Comments about Antennacraft AC9 VHF/UHF/FM HDTV Antenna:

Living in southern San Diego, near the Mexican border, I was having trouble pulling in the local CBS and ABC affiliates--the old rabbit ears had to be positioned perfectly, and then readjusted to get the other stations. So I bought this antenna, only twice the price of the rabbit ears, thinking I'd at least be able to pull them in. Using my old Dish Network setup for the mast and coax, it installed in minutes, and low and behold, I got stations from Los Angeles and Orange County. I checked, and the broadcast towers are over 120 miles away (Mt Wilson)!

        Great attic antenna.

        By Bob

        from New Brunswick, NJ

Comments about Antennacraft AC9 VHF/UHF/FM HDTV Antenna:

Great reception. Much better than rabbit ears. Small and lightweight. Fits easily in the attic. I live in Central NJ and receives all TV stations from NYC and a few from Philly.
Terminated my DirectTV contract when they raised my fee again.

        • FM reception

Comments about Antennacraft AC9 VHF/UHF/FM HDTV Antenna:

I'm across the bay and behind a hill from a fairly weak blues station in San Francisco. I ran some lead-in wire up to the roof first, and it made no difference. But after I connected it to this antenna, mounted on an 8' pole, the station comes in loud and clear.[...]
