Comments about Antennacraft® 5884 ColorKing® 58" VHF/UHF/FM HDTV Antenna: When we got our new TV the old "rabbit ears" would only pull in the strongest local digital broadcasts. I put this antenna on the roof with a pipe and a few U-clamps and attached to a sturdy vent pipe. I pointed it roughly in the direction of Mt. Wilson and found about 60 broadcast channels. The HD broadcasts look amazing, better than my DVD player.

Comments about Antennacraft® 5884 ColorKing® 58" VHF/UHF/FM HDTV Antenna: A local handyman successfully installed an AntennaCraft 5884 UHF/VHF antenna today. My TiVo Premiere now has rock solid picture, even on the challenging high VHF WHYY/PBS/12.1 and low VHF WPVI/ABC/6.1 signals. I had tried five different UHF indoor antennas and none of them could consistently pull in every channel all of the time. For anyone trying to cut some or all of the Comcast or Verizon cord over the air free high definition television antennas are the way to go. If you live within 40 miles of a VHF and UHF transmitter farm, the Antennacraft might be for you. The only disappointment that hold the 5884 back from a five star rating is missing out on the NJTV/PBS/23.1. It would be nice to have two PBS affiliates on my channel guide.

Comments about Antennacraft® 5884 ColorKing® 58" VHF/UHF/FM HDTV Antenna: The local TV stations although only 6 miles away are blocked by a mountain. So the signals I receive are the first edge of a diffracted signal (yes, diffracted not deflected). The antenna beamwidth is broad enough so I get over 38 channels plus all the local channels. The antenna worked great on the roof; I moved it into the attic to eliminate weather problems and it still works great. When I had it on the roof we had a Colorado snow storm and I still received HD TV. This antenna feeds two TVs through a two way splitter. The cable run to one of the TVs (in the basement) is over 200 ft of RG-6 with great HD reception. The install kit needs some small flat washers.

Best Uses Comments about Antennacraft® 5884 ColorKing® 58" VHF/UHF/FM HDTV Antenna: Blue skies perfect reception, light rain NOT so perfect. can't get ch 2 thru 69. Can only get 6,8,13,29 & 40.. I only live 15 miles max from all transmitters, that are clustered in the same area (few blocks apart) of town. So reception across town should be very easy to get w/ one setting of this antenna
