I needed this for my SD cards and my Compact Flash Cards. The pins inside for the CF card bend very easily and each time I try to use the reader it is a struggle. I bend them back in place & I'd imagine they will break eventually. It is my backup reader now & basically only for my SD cards.

Card reader is poorly designed, and simply does not work. Worked a few times for me but has since stopped working on my Mac and PC (drivers have managed to crash both OS systems). Only used it a few times, less than 2 weeks old. Worthless. Avoid and find another.

It did everything that it claimed to do but only one or two times before the pins bent. The slots are poorly designed. Unless you treat it with extreme care, you will bend the pins and disable the slot(s).There were no manufacturing defects.It is a sloppy or poor design.
I would not want a child or nervous adult to attempt to operate it.

It's small and it handles every card type I've ever used. It's fast and handles SDHC at high speed. My Class 10 SDHC writes at 15 mb/sec and reads at 20 mb/sec through this card reader, proving it is fast enough to handle beyond Class 10. My only tiny irritation is its LED is on the wrong side when it's used for SD cards, my primary use and probably everyone's primary use. That isn't a huge problem, just turn it over, but that puts the SD card with its label side down. Mine is well over a year old and it has been durable and always worked well.

I made the mistake of buying 2! The first one lasted for 2 uses and the second only lasted for one use! Needless to say the 3rd time will not be a charm! Terrible product!
