Comments about AUVIO® 4" 3-Way Indoor/Outdoor Speakers (Pair): I have them hooked up to a couple of short-wave receivers. Also have a couple hooked up with amateur radio equipment. Teriffic audio!

Comments about AUVIO® 4" 3-Way Indoor/Outdoor Speakers (Pair): I do a lot of audio restoration and needed desktop speakers. My Minimus 7's developed foam rot, but heck they are over 3 decades old! I drive these Auvios with an Outlaw RR2159 receiver. I do have a Boston Subwooofer. My main speakers are off-axis from my desk, so the speakers are to reasonably reproduce sound. They do so. Again the old Minimus were awesome, and these are nice. Not perfect, but adequate to get reasonable sound on axis for my editing purposes or a PC game.

Comments about AUVIO® 4" 3-Way Indoor/Outdoor Speakers (Pair): Picked up a set of these speakers the other day as a temporary replacement for my front surround speakers. Running them on a Pioneer vsx 521k at about 110 watts per channel. I have hade no problems with destortion and the sound is great. It is hard to find any single pair of speakers anymore unless you are willing to pay out lots of cash. These are great and I will be getting 2 more pairs to replace my rear channels and front height channels. As far as sattelites they are perfect and even come with wall mounts, those are worth another 12 bucks. Great deal, good sound for the price.

Comments about AUVIO® 4" 3-Way Indoor/Outdoor Speakers (Pair): I bought these the other day at the shack. Them not being hooked up and playing on display got me worried, but I was definitely wrong. These speakers sound very well. I have these speakers WAY underpowered right now (maybe 5W at the most), but they are still loud and clear, with quite a lot of bass for 90Hz minimum. I don't mind that these are constructed of plastic. These are meant to be put outdoors, and the plastic, unlike the broken Bose outdoor speakers I have outside, won't begin to break down like fiberglass and get really bothersome anytime I decide to handle them. I am very satisfied with this purchase and might buy another set :)) Thank you Auvio, and thank you Radioshack.

Best Uses Comments about AUVIO® 4" 3-Way Indoor/Outdoor Speakers (Pair): These speakers are a joke compared to what Radio Shack used to sell in their size catagory, the Realistic Minimus 7. Gone are the metal (or wood on one version) enclosures, the Long Throw 4 Inch Woofer with rubber surrounds that don't rot out, the powerful bass for a speaker its size, and the crisp highs a dome tweeter provides. Instead you get a glorified boombox speaker as a woofer that will rot out after a few years due to foam rubber surrounds, a thin plastic enclosure that resonates badly, and a gimmicky 3 way design that is totally unecessary for a speaker this size. The Trebble is ok, but not spectacular, however the bass is thin and below average for a 4 inch woofer. The product these replaced were known as "Bose Killers" for a reason. These speakers are a far cry from that title.

Comments about AUVIO® 4" 3-Way Indoor/Outdoor Speakers (Pair): I use these speakers for computer sound system through a PylePro PCA4 amp. They're adequate for computer sound system. They sound surprisingly full for classical and jazz on internet radio or for viewing TV or films online. If you need tons of thump of course you'd need to add a subwoofer. Eager to hear how the speakers will sound outdoors.

Comments about AUVIO® 4" 3-Way Indoor/Outdoor Speakers (Pair): i was not expecting great things when i walked into radioshack last month and bought these speakers, but was expecting much more then what i got. poor quality piezo tweeter and midrange, i.e. they have the exact same sound reproduction. almost no response at all above 14Khz. wasnt expecting much bass to be able to come from them, but its like listening to a projection crt's speakers. distort very quickly, even when pumping less then 40 watts into them. all in all id say these are the worst speaker set ive ever used, and would not recommend these for any application whatsoever.

Comments about AUVIO® 4" 3-Way Indoor/Outdoor Speakers (Pair): they lied and said that the speakers can handle up to 100 watts. dont believe it. they can handle 40 watts at best. i was looking originally at tic indoor/outdoor speakers. i will take these back and go with those. ok for background music. they still perform great though im still suprised.

Comments about AUVIO® 4" 3-Way Indoor/Outdoor Speakers (Pair): I got tired of pulling my IPOD deck out each time we had a BBQ. I thought about buying a pair of computer speakers that had an AC adapter and an audio in jack for my MP3 player/s. Unfortunately, each set of speakers that I found were to overpriced and still didn't offer me the liberty I was looking for. On a whim I thought I'd give "the shack" a try, my impulse paid off. I spent more time moving my receiver then I did running and mounting my speakers. They sound great and nobody knocked my IPOD over that night.
