These amplified speakers are satisfortory, but they make you wish that RS still carried the older 40-1312 aplified speakers that were phenominal performers with superior adjustments and sound quality, for the same purposes you would use the Gigaware 2.0 speakers for.

I have the volume control on the speakers all the way up and the computer volume control at 50% and the sound is great and plenty loud. If I turn up the volume on my computer the sounds get a little tinny but all in all a great purchase.

I don't know how anyone can rate this above 1 star. These are the worse sounding speakers I've ever heard. I like a deal as much as anyone, but these are very tinny, very cheap and the on-off button worked only some of the time. These go back today and I will pay for quality this time.

I cannot believe I payed so little [$] for this nice little pair of speakers. They have amazing volume and sound quality. My parents have a similar one that lasted about 7 months, and they were from CyberAcoustics, and these little speakers will beat them any day.

I use these at work in my cube. The're pluged into my mp3 player. So far, they're great little speakers. I've had them playing for about 20 minutes. They'll never be blasted, and will be on for 8 huors a day so I don't go insane. I thought I heard some buzzing when I accidentally started music right out of the box (they're pre-set on full blast, so be carefull about that.) But hopefully these will last as long as my last "cheap" radio shack speakers did. (6 years.)

I first tried them on my computer and listened to talk and music. I then tried them on a new small TV using the earphone jack - the only audio output on the TV. I was hoping to get reasonably good sound quality and they did make somewhat of an improvement over the TV's speakers, but not as much as I would have liked. I am thinking about returning them and spending a bit more on a pair with better sound. In particular, they cut off the highs, and don't have much bass. There is no tone control. The mid range is loud enough but sounds somewhat "boxy" rather than open and pleasant.

not enough bang for the buck ....spring an extra 3 bucks and get a sub woofer .... Speakers I had with my system far better sounding then these speakers ...only reason I got these was becuase I lost my power cord to the original speakers

These computer speakers work fine. They just don't have deep bass and for $5 more you can get a subwoofer. Crazy pricing. Spend the [$]

Power Cord doesn't fit in the back of the unit. Just falls right out.

No way to adjust the tone (a feature which cheaper, better sounding speakers from other companies have)

Sound Tinny, rattle even at low volume.
