I have bought 2 of these for my Pre-teens that wanted IPODS. I was looking for something that would do video and music that was cheaper than an ipod. These work great.. I love how easy it is to move music to it. I went to put movies on it and found out that the movie file type I had for my collect were not compatible.. NO WORRIES Sansa software converted it to there format in a little over an hour per movie.. Great started MP3 player for my kids to show responsibility before moving to an ipod.. (Buy the Radio Shack Warranty it paid for it self when one went bad)

I bought this for my girlfriend, but she wanted me to set it up. Now I have to take it back to the store for a refund, because these devices do not work right out of the box after connected to your PC. I might get her a media player this time. I could not get this device to work without it being stuck being connected to the PC and it's not really charging the battery up. I wish that this company would hire better engineers who know what in the world they are doing when it comes to design, building, manufacturing, and warehouse and retail. These imports needs to stop coming here making us waste valuable money on this junk! Now I have buy something better and not this brand!

It worked just fine for about 4 months. Started having problems with the controls and then finally just stopped working. I had purchased a year warranty thinking that if it went bad or had a problem, they would just give me a new one. No way. All you get is a gift card (and you have to go on line to get it and then come back to the store) you have to use at Radio Shack. I bought it because it was on sale. Now I have to buy another at regular price. The warranty apparently only lasts until they replace it once. I don't want another one and have to pay more for one that I don't trust! I have had a $20 one from another maker and it gets knocked around a lot. Still works after a year. No problem. This one was supposed to be [$] and I only keep it next to my stereo and never carry it around. The guys at the store are nice, but it is the policy.

I've had mine for just over a year now. Only issues I've experienced with it are it does take several seconds to load up when turned on, the touch is extremely sensitive, sometimes the touch pad can be very slow to respond, and when trying to scroll through something it does what you weren't trying to do. For example, if trying to scroll down through songs, sometimes it will switch over to the left category or right category which is extremely annoying. I have zero issues with the battery life and I listen to mine a great deal...usually charge it a few times a week and it only takes about 3 hours for a full charge.
All in all I love it and it's very easy to put music on and I've never had any serious issues with it besides the slowness loading when first turned on and scrolling to a different area when you weren't trying to do so.

Would never buy another one. Way too sensitive to touch. Constantly malfunctioned and it lasted only 4 months. I listen to books and it did have great sound but that's it.

Had been extremely satisfied with my Sansa Clip and should have resisted the opportunity to upgrade to a sleek but ever so confusing navigation pad which often would not lock, causing me on many occasions to want to throw the [*] thing away. [...] the older, wheel-model Sansa which works just fine and may even be an improvement on the Sansa Clip.

[...] Its too sensitive for my big old fingers, scrolling right past what I want, changing at the slightest touch, and impossible to operate in the dark (I like to listen in bed). Sound is very good, battery life seems good although its connected to the computer all day and only unplugged at night. Also, very slow to be functional when first turned on - takes forever to read external memory card. Bottom line: I should have stuck with my 4g Clip.

Bought two of these with the extended warranty. Used both extended warranties to replace these two (for a total of 4 mp3 players). The battery or hard drive seems to die after a few uses. One of the units only lasted an hour after charging it overnight and just died after two days of use. Only mp3 player lasted 3 months, [...] I don't know why these are dying out so fast. I think the store I get them from has a bad lot. When they worked, they were awesome but they just do not last at all. DO NOT BUY THEM!!!
